If you read my previous post titled, "My Secret: Part 2", you know that the ultimate inspiration for writing my book was my conversation with my father while he was getting ready to leave this earth. Along my journey, I've read some books, listened to some podcasts, and talked with some amazing humans who have inspired me to keep pursuing my dream!

The following are the people and the resources that encouraged me to not give up!

Bob Goff: EVERY one of his podcasts is a true inspiration. He interviews all kinds of people, in all walks of life and each one is as encouraging as the next. If you're not listening to his podcasts, you should! His quick 30-minute podcasts will encourage anyone to follow their dreams. I listen to his podcast regularly and it has inspired me to pursue this dream of mine! Thank you!

Jennifer Rothschild: The summer I decided to finally write my book I was a part of a bible study and we read the book, "Take Courage." This book helped me realize that fear was the number one reason I was not going after my dreams. While reading this book, I made the conscious decision to stop listening to all the lies inside my head, and to move forward with this dream of mine. If you're ready to be courageous and stop living a life of fear, read this book! Thank you!

Pastor Rick Warren: Every morning, like clockwork, I receive a daily devotional written by Pastor Rick. As part of my quiet time, I read it, journal, and reflect on it. More times than not, it truly speaks to me at that moment and what I'm facing. Ironically, the series he is writing right now is about following your dreams. One of the things he says is, " Perfectionism paralyzes potential. God has always used imperfect people in imperfect situations to accomplish His will. Ecclesiastes 11:4 says, "If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done". In spite of your problems, doubts, or fears, trust God and start moving in the direction of your dream." This definitely felt like it was written to me personally and oh how I needed to be reminded that God works through imperfect people just like me! If you want daily encouragement, sign up for his daily devotional. Thank you!

Christina Dankert and the 55 Sprint Writers Group- as I mentioned before, Christina was the first person I reached out to ask questions about getting started on publishing my book. Christina is an author herself, and she was such a valuable resource to me. She also invited me to join a writer's group and they have been a source of inspiration to me as well. If you have not read or purchased Christina's book, you definitely should! It's a universal lesson about kindness that speaks to everyone. Thank you!

Brad: This gentleman was referred to me by a friend, and he took the time to go over so many things with me and to encourage me to publish my book myself instead of looking to other publishers. He helped me with marketing and gave me various tools to help me get started with the publishing process. He has sent me resources along the way. I have really appreciated his help. Thank you, Brad!

And of course, many of my friends and family have encouraged me along the way and continue to encourage me on this journey of mine.

I'm so thankful for all the people and resources that God has given me along the way to keep me moving forward! Thank you to you all! I hope and pray that all of you have cheerleaders in your life and people who inspire you and encourage you with your dreams!
